For the past 28 years, Robb Kenyon has been a successful fixture of the residential lending space up and down the West Coast and has personally originated hundreds of millions of dollars in loans.  After graduating from the U.S. Navy’s Aviation Officers Candidate School in 1988, Robb served nine years in the US Navy Reserve.  During this time, Robb leaned on his business degree in finance and turned his civilian attention to the world of mortgage financing.  Robb accepted a position as a new construction loan officer with the Seattle Mortgage Company which quickly evolved into a net branch manager position.  It was here that Robb began his journey toward present day success in new construction financing and deal structuring.

Quickly grasping the potential for growth in the Seattle mortgage market, Robb was able to guide his branch sales to $685M/year, a record for Seattle Mortgage at the time.  This number quickly caught the attention of Countrywide Mortgage, which subsequently purchased the branch and its operations.

From here, Robb held increasingly senior positions with industry heavyweights such as Countrywide Home Loans and Bank of America.  At many points in his career, Robb was tasked with creating entire lending teams and support structures, often times where none existed previously.

In 2013, Robb fully embraced new construction lending by accepting a position at Builder’s Capital as COO & Director of Sales – Construction Loans.  Over the course of 5 years, he was able to improve his company’s lending volume by over 300%, in addition to instituting programs dedicated to organizational efficiency and sales performance consistency.

Robb currently works as a Partner, focusing his attention on new construction sales, for Sound Capital, a private lender based in Bellevue WA.   In this role, Robb oversees the company’s new construction portfolio and staff, which under his guidance, experienced a 100% increase of growth in the first year alone.

Eager to share his experiences and knowledge of the mortgage industry, Robb has held several positions with Seattle-area industry associations, including the Certified Mortgage Banker’s Society, the Seattle Master Builders Association, and the Seattle Mortgage Bankers Association, including a period as the organization’s president.

A West Coast native, Robb spends his free time enjoying a variety of water sports and outdoor activities.  He currently lives in Kirkland, WA.
